Glenans Irish Sailing Club provides a variety of sailing courses to suit all levels from beginner to intermediate. The courses align with the ISA small boat sailing scheme, are ISA certified and are priced very competitively, with mid-season 5-day courses starting at EUR425. The following courses are designed for those new to sailing and for those with a little sailing experience who want to progress.  We offer intensive 5 day courses in May and June or more comprehensive 7 day courses from mid June to September on dinghy, keelboat and catamarans.

START SAILING

This is for the person new to sailing who will learn to sail in light conditions. This course is available on both Dinghies and Keelboats.

BASIC SKILLS

Develop your skills in boat handling, rigging, launch and recovery. By the end of this course you will be sailing on your own in light wind conditions without assistance from your instructor. Previous sailing experience is expected and you should be able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge included in the Start Sailing course. IMPROVER SKILLS

Fine tune your sailing skills in boat handling. Develop the skills and knowledge you need in order to set up and sail the boat more effectively in moderate conditions. This course will also prepare you for the specialist courses ahead. This course is available on both Dinghies and Keelboats.
