Course DetailsPrevious Experience | 5 days, 100 miles, 4 night hours on board a sailing yacht. Sailing level needed is Basic Skills plus from the ISA SBSS scheme. | Assumed Knowledge | Basic navigation and helmanship, it is recommended to attend a day skipper shore based course to complete this module. | Course Content | Deck work, navigation, pilotage, meteorology, rules of the road, preparations for sea, maintenance and repair work, engines, provisioning a boat, yacht handling under power and sail, undertaking passages by day and by night. | After the Course | Skipper a cruising boat in familiar waters by day | Duration | Usual option is a 6 day live aboard course but can be run over 3 weekends or 3 days plus weekend. | Assessment | RYA Competent Crew Certificate ( this is a course completion Certificate)
