About Glenans Irish Sailing Club Welcome

GISC (Glenans Irish Sailing Club) is Ireland’s largest sail training organisation and has been perfecting the art of sailing instruction since 1969. When you book a course with us, you become a member of our club committed to sail training with over a thousand like-minded people. GISC prides itself as a non-profit, volunteer organisation with a simple mission; teach sailing, promote a love of the sea and bringing people together. Since our foundation we have trained over 40,000 people.

.Whether you are an absolute beginner or an experienced coastal sailor planning an offshore cruise we have the course for you. GISC offers the most comprehensive range of residential and live aboard courses in Ireland. We cover all disciplines of sailing, Dinghy, Catamaran, Day Keelboats and Cruising for all experience levels from beginner to expert and for all ages from 14 upwards, with specific Teen courses catering to under 18’s.
